Mars is a private equity group focused on acquiring and building organizations in partnership with management. We are long-term investors guided by creating sustainable equity value over time. While the principals of Mars have significant investment and operational experience in building successful companies, we empower management with independence and provide resources and expertise, as needed to grow the business. Mars seeks to acquire underperforming or distressed businesses with transaction values ranging between $5 million and $50 million. Mars will also consider profitable companies with above average growth prospects. Mars will make equity investments of between $1 million to $10 million. Mars is primarily focused on companies within a 100 mile radius of Chicago, but we also will consider acquisitions throughout the Upper Midwest.
